HYBRID IDENTITIES – BORDERS ART FAIR 2025

As part of the 2025 edition of BORDERS Art Fair, selected works from the series Conversations with the Unknown were presented at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello in Venice.
Curated by ITSLIQUID Group in collaboration with ACIT Venice, the group exhibition Hybrid Identities invited international artists to explore the multiplicity and transformation of self in a contemporary world shaped by fluidity, transition and inner movement.
The works on view emerged from an intuitive, emotional process – each piece acting as a visual response to a state of presence beyond language. Through layers of color, texture and silence, the paintings open space for feeling rather than explanation. The official press release described the artist's approach as follows:
“Through an intimate journey of emotional collapse and transformation, Roxanne Franz’s work moves at the threshold between inner collapse and spiritual clarity. Her paintings are born from a deeply emotional and intuitive process: where words fall short, color and form begin to speak. Trained as a writer and therapist, Roxanne’s artistic practice reflects a lived inquiry into identity, healing, and the delicate balance between surrender and self-preservation. With every piece, she opens a space for feeling without explanation, inviting the viewer to reconnect with their inner truth.”
